§ 11-85. Special license.

(a)

Notwithstanding any other provision of this article to the contrary, the director of finance may issue a special license for the conduct of no more than two bingo sessions annually at which the total amount of prizes which may be awarded on any one calendar day under such a license shall not exceed $25,000.00 in cash or other thing or things of value. Except as otherwise provided in this section, all other provisions of this article shall apply to the issuance of such special licenses.

(b)

Such license shall not be issued to any organization as provided in this section unless that organization has first obtained a special charitable gaming license from the director of finance further provided in R.S. 40:1485.5.
