§ 11-201. Operating hours.

  • It shall be unlawful for any tavern, barroom, saloon, lounge, nightclub, place of entertainment, or place of business licensed to sell and dispense alcoholic beverages or liquors in the parish to serve any alcoholic beverages between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on each day of the week, Sunday through Saturday.

    All taverns, bars, saloons, nightclubs, or other places of entertainment licensed to sell and/or dispense alcoholic beverages or liquors shall be closed and locked at 2:30 a.m. continuously until 6:00 a.m. on each day of the week, Sunday through Saturday.

    Eating establishments, grocery stores, convenience stores, video poker truck stop casinos, and other similar stores may remain open for the sale of other items and merchandise permitted by law; but the service, sale, or consumption of alcoholic beverages in and on such places of business between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on each day of the week, Sunday through Saturday, is expressly prohibited.
