§ 12-28. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Director means the director of planning and zoning for the parish, appointed pursuant to the Home Rule Charter of St. Mary Parish, Louisiana.

Mobile home means a structure, transportable in one or more sections, which is built on a permanent chassis and is designed for the use with or without permanent foundation. It does not include recreational vehicles or travel trailers.

Mobile home park means a parcel of land divided into two or more mobile home lots for rent either to persons owning their own mobile homes or for rent by the owner or operator who rents a mobile home and lot as a unit.

Owner or operator means any person who owns or operates a mobile home park on a full- or parttime basis.
