§ 14-5. Glass bottles, containers, or receptacles prohibited.

  • (a)

    The use or possession of bottles, containers, or receptacles made of glass is prohibited in or on all of the following described property owned, used, or leased by the parish for public recreational purposes.

    (b)

    For purposes of this section, the following described properties are designated as being used for public recreational purposes: Amelia Recreational Area, Siracusa Recreational Area, Bayou Vista Recreational Area, Kemper Williams Park, Victoria Recreational Area, Centerville Recreational Area, Burns Point Recreational Area, Wards 2 and 7 Recreational Area, St. Joseph Recreational Area, Garden City Recreational Area, Verdunville Recreational Area and Charenton Recreational Area, and any and all city-owned rights-of-way immediately adjacent to the recreational areas designated in this subsection.

    (c)

    Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or imprisonment in the parish jail for not more than 30 days, or both.
