§ 20-5. Off-road vehicles; use restricted.

(a)

Definitions.

Off-road vehicle means three-wheelers, four-wheelers, or other all-terrain vehicles, which are not specifically designated for road use. Motorized carts and wheelchairs used by physically disabled persons are not "off-road vehicles" under this section.

(b)

Operation of off-road vehicles on public sidewalks prohibited. The riding, operation, or use of off-road vehicles upon the public sidewalks in the unincorporated areas of St. Mary Parish, Louisiana is prohibited.

(c)

Penalties. Whosoever shall violate the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00 or imprisoned for a time not exceeding 30 days or both.
