§ 20-33. Parking in areas around fire station prohibited.

(a)

No person shall stand or park a vehicle, except when necessary and avoid contact with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the direction of a police officer or traffic control device within 20 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station within the jurisdiction of the St. Mary Parish Council, or on the side of a street opposite the entrance to any fire station within 75 feet of said entrance.

(b)

The Department of Public Works of St. Mary Parish shall place appropriate notice of the prohibitions contained herein, at each fire station subject to the provisions hereof.

(c)

Any person who shall violate the terms hereof shall be fined not more than $500.00 or imprisoned in the parish jail for not longer than 30 days.
