§ 10-8. Throwing dead animals in watercourses prohibited.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to throw or cause to be thrown in the Bayou Teche, Atchafalaya River, or other public streams, any dead animals.

(b)

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall on conviction thereof before any court of competent jurisdiction be subjected to a fine not exceeding $10.00 or imprisonment not exceeding 30 days at the discretion of the court.
