§ 10-4. Burial of animal carcasses required.

Whenever any horses, mules, cows, sheep, or any other stock are found dead within the limits of the parish, it shall be the duty of the owner of such stock to cause the carcasses to be buried within 24 hours after the death of such stock comes to his knowledge, and in default of complying with this section, the president shall see that such dead carcasses be buried at the expense of the owner and the cost of such burial to be collected before any court of competent jurisdiction.
